Accessing TTAC’s Training and Technical Assistance

  • Your request is submitted (via email, web form or phone)
  • TTAC staff responds promptly, within 2 - 3 business days
    • TTAC staff will discuss your request in more detail to determine the best way to meet your request. We may ask for further information in writing or through a phone interview.
    • Based on further communication, TTAC will offer suggestions on how we can best provide the assistance you requested.
    • The technical assistance process begins, through any or all of the following: TTAC staff and consultants, TTAC tools, or referral to a TTAC partner organization.

TTAC Product and Tools

  • Sometimes the resources you need will be available in TTAC’s tools, which have been developed and refined over time to meet some of the most common needs in the field. TTAC tools and resources address issues like evaluation, collaboration, the basics of tobacco, and other important topics. For a list of TTAC tools available, click here. TTAC tools are free and downloadable so you can easily share them or use them in your own training activities.

TTAC Staff and Consultant(s)

  • TTAC’s core staff provides a wealth of experience. Collectively, TTAC’s staff has over 140 years of public health experience on a breadth of topics. In addition, TTAC has a cadre of consultants who specialize in fields such as strategic planning, policy development, sustainability, and other important issues. Depending on the expertise needed TTAC identifies the person with the right expertise to provide TA.
  • No matter who is working with you, TTAC staff or a TTAC consultant, we view the work as a partnership and TTAC staff will always be involved to provide guidance and support, facilitate negotiations or simply check in on the progress of your activities.

  • In some cases, TA that can meet your need(s) is available through our partner organizations. We are happy to identify these resources and connect you with them.

Costs

While TTAC can still provide some services at no charge, certain TTAC services have an associated fee. The cost depends on the scope of the work necessary to meet your request. All costs are discussed when services are addressed. TTAC is committed to improving tobacco control capacity and to providing affordable resources, technical assistance, and training to do so.
 
TTAC’s assistance is designed to identify solutions and pathways for progress to the next level of competency and sustainability. To provide tailored services for meeting specific needs and building capacity TTAC seeks to partner with you, whether the relationship is short-term or over an extended period.
