Make sure your evaluation objectives:

  • Are reasonable and realistic for the time and resources you have.
  • Are simple, unambiguous, and clearly focused as a guide to accomplishment.
  • Are focused clearly enough so that both evaluators and participants know what is going on.
  • State the what, from whom, how, by whom, and when of the evaluation or evaluation activity.
  • Use language that is precise and not open to interpretation.
  • Reflect the overall intent and scope of the evaluation.
  • Cover all phases and activities of the evaluation.
  • Are written in a logical order.
