Our Services

TTAC is dedicated to assisting state and local partners in building and developing highly effective tobacco control programs. We accomplish this by working in direct partnership with our clients and concentrating our services in:

  • technical assistance
  • training support
  • information resources
  • collaborative efforts

Our staff and consultants provide timely, high quality assistance, helping the client identify solutions to move their tobacco control efforts forward successfully. Throughout the process TTAC encourages states and communities toward inclusive planning to meet the needs of their varied populations. In every step of the process we work together as fully integrated partners — an approach that allows us to reach the ultimate goal of increased capacity for comprehensive tobacco control in local communities and at the state level.

Technical Assistance

TTAC maintains an experienced staff as well as a rich and diverse pool of highly qualified consultants available for on-site, telephone, and online assistance. TTAC staff and consultants offer expertise in an array of areas including, but not limited to: strategic planning; evaluation and evaluation planning; cultural competence; policy and program implementation; communications planning and management; and comprehensive tobacco control program development.

Understanding that the challenges in tobacco control are complex and varied, TTAC actively partners with many organizations. To see a listing of these national organizations, click here. Whatever the challenge, TTAC meets the needs of the client by considering the nature of the assignment, the geographic region, cultural appropriateness, and client timeline sensitivities.

TTAC can provide

  • Short-term technical assistance to state and local programs, and coalitions, in the form of presentations and implementation support in areas such as best practices, evidence-based interventions, program evaluation, and diversity and inclusiveness
  • Site visits to provide assistance with short- and long-term strategic planning, coalition building strategies, program evaluation, or development of communication plans
  • Assistance in locating information, resources, or individuals with a particular expertise

One of our staff members will respond to you promptly, review your application, and determine the next steps.

Training Support

Fully trained tobacco control staff, coalitions, partners, and grantees are invaluable to any program, but all too often obstacles impede reaching this ideal. Perhaps you are unsure of the best way to train your local grantees or how to address training in view of perpetual staff turnover. TTAC can help with your most perplexing training issues, by providing consulting customized to meet your specific needs.

TTAC’s staff and consultants can help you

  • Assess state/local training needs
  • Develop a training plan for your state or local programs
  • Design specific training programs
  • Deliver a customized training or workshop

To request assistance with training, complete and submit a Technical Assistance Request Form and someone from our staff will contact you to determine the next steps.
